Coordinator, Digital Marketing (Arts and Education)

  • HEW 7 – $ 90,769 plus 17% superannuation

The marketing team works collaboratively with university stakeholders to deliver integrated marketing campaigns that position Deakin ahead of the pack.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the role will manage the design, development and delivery of digital marketing initiatives such as multi-channel advertising campaigns and oversee the development of supporting assets, including the external website that contributes to the effective recruitment of potential students at Deakin University.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a coach and work with team members to facilitate growth and development by giving balanced and constructive feedback taking into account individual abilities and team performance
  • Distill fundamental problems from complex information, draw precise conclusions, and condense complex information and next steps into simple, concise terms that others can understand
  • Seek feedback on improvement opportunities from a wide range of key stakeholders and implement change through the appropriate channels, and overcome barriers to change
  • Actively seek feedback from colleagues and stakeholders on things that are working well and areas for improvement
  • Build new and productive relationships with a wide range of potential students, stakeholders or key and influential people inside and outside the University
  • Develop and implement practical and accessible solutions based on stakeholder needs
  • Strive for excellence and consult regularly with clients to clarify who needs the information, the purpose for which it is needed, the criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendations are required, with a strong service culture
  • Communicate with confidence using examples and the influencing technique most appropriate for a given situation to increase understanding and support

To be successful, you will have:

  • A degree with at least 4 years of relevant subsequent experience; Where
  • Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; Where
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and / or studies / training in digital marketing
  • Knowledge of the digital media landscape and content requirements for each media channel
  • Experience in implementing integrated campaign strategies across major digital marketing channels, optimizing and analyzing performance and reporting on campaign effectiveness
  • Experience developing creative assets across digital and social marketing channels above the line (ATL)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite such as InDesign or Photoshop
  • Knowledge of developing digital advertising campaigns using platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager or Sizmek
  • Knowledge of project management processes for the production of photo and video assets and / or video editing capabilities
