Guide Dogs CatchUp digital hub launches new features


Guide Dogs Australia’s free digital hub, CatchUp, has launched a host of new features over the past few weeks to improve the connection between the visually impaired and blind community.

Striving to find creative ways to improve the user experience, CatchUp claims to have launched several digital hub updates following customer feedback, including a highly sought-after events feature.

Earlier this year, Guide Dogs Australia launched CatchUp as an online community hub designed to foster connections, provide educational opportunities and provide support for those who are visually impaired or blind.

CatchUp members can access regular news articles in the hub, as well as what’s on community lists, social group chats, private and group messaging facilities, options profile customization, and more – with all the features designed to facilitate a premium experience for those with visual impairments or blindness.

Guide Dogs customer David signed up as a member of CatchUp earlier this year and described the hub as a space that “breaks some of the personal isolation of being blind”, providing the opportunity to “meet new like-minded people and maybe make a friend or two”.
