Lady Gaga is set to play Harley Quinn in Joker 2 (which could be a musical) and this awesome image gives us a glimpse of what she could look like in the role.
In what was undoubtedly one of the biggest stories of the year, it was revealed last month that Lady Gaga is in talks to play Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix in the highly anticipated Todd Phillips sequel Joker.
Phillips confirmed that the long-rumored joker 2 was in development in June, posting a photo on his Instagram account of a script titled Joker: Madness for two (with an image of Phoenix reading it). It was then reported that the film would be a musical with the Oscar nominated GaGa playing the iconic counterpart of the Clown Prince of Crime.
Things are still in their infancy, but it’s safe to say the news sent the internet into a meltdown, with fans amazed at the thought of Gaga bringing the character to life. This, of course, inspired fan art imagining what she might look like in the role.
On that note, let’s shine a light on an incredible piece of fan art.

Quoting some jinx holder influence, the image sees her wearing a white tank top with playing card-like designs on the side. She also has a light coat of makeup and the character’s signature mallet.
While this is certainly a more toned down Harley Quinn than we’re used to seeing on screen, BossLogic acknowledged to a fan in a tweet that it’s probably even cooler than Phillips’ grounded realism Joker franchise would allow. Nonetheless, it’s an amazing piece that does a great job of imagining what A star is born the performer might look like in the role.
The acclaimed musician will be the second actress to play the character on the big screen, with Margot Robbie currently playing her in the DCEU franchise, appearing in suicide squad, Birds of Prey (and the emancipation of one Harley Quinn) and The Suicide Squad.
